Does a purple dress go with a red crop jacket and black booties?

I have this purple dress I wanna wear for valentines day but I don't wanna be cold its gonna be in the 50s that night....I wish I had my jacket in black but I don't BUT I do have a black vest would that be better? Its not cropped and the dress is strapless...I'm limited please help!
