What is the best way to use a halter?

Ive done this many times, it depends on where you're riding, how much you trust your horse, and how much control you want. If your horse neck reins, you can just clip it to the tie ring and if you wanna turn one way, neck rein, if you wanna turn the other way, just pull it that way. If you need direct rein, tie it to the side rings, and depending on the length of your lead rope, and how long you want your reins to be, you might need two seperate lead ropes.
