I have a huge tax situation problem Involving my child?

I wil start by saying My husband and I are separated have been for six months but not legally we have been married for two years and we have a 1 yr old daughter...Every since my child has came into the world my mom has been in control of my childs life which i absolutely HATE!! I'm 22 and so is my husband we are responsible parents we take care of our child the best way we can despite us not being together...my mom helps me alot with my child since she has been born and so does my husband however my mom does aloot more ..I am currently unemployed I take care of my daughter and watch her because daycare is not available to me right now until the courtdate of my husband and I comes around for child support (he doesnt make enough to support our child and pay for daycare ...he gets her every weekend to spend time with her since we are no longer in the same house hold...anyway My mom is upset because I am allowing my husband to claim her on his taxes along with myself this year...In which I will get half of what he gets....I am trying to better myself and put the money towards education for myself so that I myself can be an independent mother and provide for my child ...but she sees this as Me allowing him to claim her and she does more for my child than he does ....I feel a lil torn...but at the same time I feel I have to do this for myself and my future ...I have no help for school or education otherwise.I need your oppinions please help!
