I would get the horse that is trained it what you don't already know, it will be harder for you both to be learning at the same time than if the horse is already trained it in and you can just focus on yourself. So then you can train the horse in what you already know. I would get the horse that is already trained in the thing that is hardest, that way you can just train it the easier stuff (unless you want a challenge of course). I would take lessons if dressage first, you may find that you really don't like dressage at all.

How would you feel about your childs teacher drinking while on vacation?
I'm appalled by this! Of course a 24 year old teacher should be allowed to have a glass of wine and/or beer when she's on vacation. Why should she not? She is over the legal age for drinking, she isn't at work, she posted the photo privately, and she did not encourage drinking to her students. There is no way her students would ever see the picture if it was posted privately, and even if they did, why would it matter? She's over the legal drinking age. Are these parents teaching their kids drinking is not okay under any circumstance, at any age? Good luck enforcing that rule!
What should I bring/buy for a 3-day trip to NYC with my school?
I'm going on a trip to NYC with my school for 3 days next month. The bus ride is going to be from 12 am until we arrive at our hotel around 5:30, so it's pretty long. I need something to do for the ride there and back. I have a book, and another one I'm half-way finished with, my phone which I can listen to music on and that's about it. I'm thinking of buying a portable DVD player as well, and bring a few movies a long the way. I'm sure on the ride there I'll sleep most of the time, but I definitely need something to occupy my time on the ride back. Also, what kind of this should I bring there just to have. When a child throws a tantrum, they are looking for attention and trying to get their way, just completely ignore them, no contact, then they will see that they are getting nothing from it and stop. If they break a rule during the tantrum, like hitting, breaking things, or disrespectful language, punish them, put them in timeout for 5-10 minutes, but dont start the clock until they have calmed down, that way they will learn that the longer they throw a tantrum, the longer they stay in timeout, then when they are calm, start the time, and when it is up give them a talk about how they way they acted was extremely unacceptable, talk to him about better ways to handle anger and frustration, like taking a few deep breaths, and move on.

Me and this guy started talking/bonding a week ago (before we just knew each other's names). It seems like he at least likes me a little...we spent a whole day hanging around each other at this presentation thing and when we were sitting next to each other (not facing each other, just next to each other) our legs/knees and shoulders were touching...like resting against each other and neither one of us moved away...he even seemed a little nervous the other day when I said hi to him and he said "Hey (my name)" and kind of mumbled...so do you think he will get me anything for valentines day? And we have talked since that presentation thing...now when we see each other we'll say hi and talk if we have time. I know it seems too soon and everything, but there are signs that he at least likes me a little. How can I help my childs severe Adult Defiant Disorder?
I've had him on Prozac, and Adderall, he's 8 now and has been on his meds since he was 6... but he still throws fits to anyone in authority position who tries to tell him what to do, my therapist says he's just very independent but has severe symptoms of Adult Defian Disorder, i'm at my wits end, he is always crying in the store, etc.
Is my husband a jerk?
He refuses to tell me he loves me, he doesn't kiss me anymore. He always kisses our little baby and tell her he loves her which I am SO happy for! don't get me wrong. I'm glad that he loves her and wants her in his life. I know that he's doing it to make me jealous though but it's really not making me jealous. I'm actually just really sad. He treats me so bad, he is from Guatemala. He always goes and talks to his sister first before me. He always has to take care of her. Give her rides everywhere...and if I don't include her in our life I'm a horrible person. Literally. He is so jealous of everything, and has to be everywhere that I am. He is controlling. I stand up to him though! I mean literally I screamed at him before. We've been married almost 2 years and he trys to tell me that I'm the one that has to change. When he's mad at me it's "My problem"....... I need to get away don't I? Yes he's hit me plenty of times and I know that I'm a retarded idiot for still being here with him. I just need someones opinion.
What Are Your Toy Ideas?
Personally i love legos!! Endless amounts of fun you can build anything and be entertained for hours at a time. Another thing is Gi Joes. Not the big ones but the 3 inch tall ones. They're up for any adventure an 8 year old can imagine. Or Tech Decks. If taken serously you could easyly Tech Deck anything. haha. For a girl i really wouldn't know cause I''ve never been there. Im not too savvy with girls toys. Maybe a barbie.
Fun things to do in the Miami area?
My parents and I are going this week for 8 days. So far our agenda consists of taking a boat ride through the Everglades, spending a night or two in Key West, hanging out at Miami and South Beach and touring University of Miami (the main reason we're going). In the Daily mail today there is astory of child cruelty which makes me wish we had the Death penalty reinstated. A young 4 year old girl who suffered with Cerebal Palsy was subjected to such cruelty by her own parents as I have never read before. over a period of time, they broke her arm for which the child needed 7 operations, They ripped her hair from her scalp and took skin from her scalp doing this. They forced her hands under a hot tap and scalded her hands red eaw. They repeatedly kicked her on the floor as you would kick a football. During this, there were 13 home visits from Social Services and 2 Health care appointments, but nothing was reported. The last visit was on the insistance of the grandmother when the child was rushed to Hospital where she died. Strange as it may seem, no one in the Social Services is to blame as usual. No one will take responsibility for this childs death. The parents got 10 years each. I would have hung them myself.

What might be causing the spark plugs to soot too fast?
I changed the spark plugs on my car, and i didn't ride it more than a 10 kilometers and it started to run sluggish again. The spark plugs were dirty, with black soot from incomplete combustion. why is this happening? is it a carburetor problem? something else? details? thanks!

None of the adult molds would fit on my teeth so the dentist used a childs mold for my top teeth. My teeth are straight there but they are pushed forward so I cannot put on the gaurd without it pushing my front teeth back. Its to uncomfortable but should I keep it??? Im filing for a divorce. As of the other day I have full custody of our child. My wife is a drug addict and is pretty much insane. I belive she suffers from mental illness beyond her control, but will not make any steps to get healthy other than wanting more drugs from her doctors. They will not give her what she wants as they know she's addicted to drugs. I feel bad for her as her entire family has shut her out and no one will take her in. I tried to get her healthy. Suggested to go to NA, church with me and my daughter, anything. She lies on the couch and sleeps, yells, and burns herself and funiture with cigarettes. She isnt physically hurting anyone, but my 7 year old daughter has to sit here and watch her mother daze in and out all day. This isnt giving my child a good example of what a mother/wife is. I try to explain to her the best I can that "she's sick" without putting her down to much. But she wont leave. She stays here to make shure theres someone to wait on her, clean up after her buy her cigarettes, drugs, etc. I dont like to give her money, fetch her pop and food or clean up after her. But if I dont do these things she will flip out and start saying hateful evil things. She will not hold back with our daughter there. I feel like I need to keep our home peaceful, clean and as "normal" as I can. For my childs sake. She's my main priority at this point. I filed for emergency and full custody and was awarded these things as of last week. I have a "do it yourself" divorce package from legal aide and will be filing it next week with the courts. But when my wife recieves a copy of this being filed in the mail she will stop at nothing to make our lives a living hell. I dont have the money to hire a lawyer. I am financialy in hard place. I had to drop outta collage and limit my hours at work to make shure my child is takin care of. If I file for a divorce along with having custody of my child she will most likily lose her medicad(state insurence) and this will prevent her from going to ER's and doctors for drugs as well. Is there any way of getting her outta our home till the divorce is final? Please help! Thank you for any help you could provide us.
Can i still amend my tax refund if..?
I did my taxes through turbotax and had 2 dependents. after i was finished, i was going to get a specified amount and i submitted it. but after i submitted it (which is when i cant cancel anymore) i realized it "unchecked" the child tax credit and im not getting the amount i was going to get anymore, instead, something lower. both childs qualified but i dont know why it unchecked them, so now i lost a lot of money because of that. can i still fill out the 1040X and get the rest of the money i could've gotten from the child tax credit?

My boyfriend lives in Wisconsin but has a rough custody case he is working on in Il. The mother of his child is trying to keep him completely out of his childs life. They went to medeation but she is being unreasonable and will not agree to anything. Im not going to get into the whole story as I'm sure most of you don't want the nitty gritty details. It is great to here that you are riding again!!! When you are walking and trying to keep your back straight, think of it like this... Try to touch your head to the sky (or selling). i was granted to move out of state a month later i was force to move back to wisconsin because the father refuse to have contact with his son if he is not in the same state i was granted primary custody because i put my son first and stated in court when i was ask the same thing if he was granted custody what with i do i stated that i would live in the same state as my son therfore i am the parent who puts my child first and granted primary placement and descion making but was still force to move here and live one hour within distance of him i have three other children that with the vistation order has affected them and our shared son he has him 3days out the week from nine to seven pm which conflicts with my children schools and doctors appoitments the father is also a drug addict who has not complied with thecourts since the beginning of court and that is why i was granted to move in the first place he has still not complied with the courts what do i do......... i have done everything im just seen as a single mother who dosent believe a father should be in his childs life which is no where near the case my other children fathers have chosen not to be in there sons lives and given up there parental rights and im getting punish for there descions by the court. i have never kept my son father away from him he has just never put his son before hisself and has continue to prove that to the court and me and still i am getting punished for his actions

My leg always slips forward?
When im riding, and especially when im cantering my legs slip really far forward. My instructor tells me to move it back, but it usually slips again in a matter of minutes. Especially when i jump. Does anyone have any tips for keeping my leg in the correct position? I ride bareback a lot and that sometimes helps my position for a short while, but it always reverts back. Thanks!

Okay so I have this teacher for homeroom and photography but there is this boy who sits next to me and I get this scary feeling that he might want to touch me. Sometimes he text messages in homeroom and looks at himself on the computer screen. He would move alot and usually when we sit he would try to get close to me. There are times when we sit in class he would scoot his chair a little on my side and I tried to sit a little far from him. He looks lie a guy who would hang out with those gangster types. im 33 weks pregnant and up until about a week ago i hant had any midwife appointments..this was because my letters from the hospital were getting sent to my old adress and whenever i called they said i had to be refered by my gp again for missing the appiontment, then the same thing would happen...even though i told the doctors several time i had changed my address they kept sending them to the old adress anyway i decided to take it apon myself and contact another hospital directly and make an appointment with them rather than having to be reffered by my doctor each time, anyway at my appointment the midwife said because i hadnt seen a midwife until then (even though i was advised by many people that having a midwife was optional) she was going to report me to social services!! and apprently this was a standard thing as i was seen as a 'risk' because of this. i am fuming and feel im being told im a risk to my child!! its really upset me and my family cannot believe im having social services involved with me before my childs even born it makes me sound like a terrible mother! is this really a standard procedure...or was she just saying that? ive never done anything to make me be seen as a risk, i dont drink, dont take drugs never been in trouble with the police for any reason!

My cousin's SD vest straps got destroyed when we washed it tonight. And we can't fix the straps to were they would hold. We are going out of town on tuesday and the new vest we ordered wont be here until after president's day. So to my question, is it ok to buy a light weight jacket from the pet store and sew on the patches to the jacket? The trainer suggested to get a backpack but I couldn't find one in a small size. We have all the paperwork and id cards from the trainer but it is easier to take him places when he has a vest on since he is a small dog. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think you overreacting a little bit. If he couldn't talk to you then maybe the doctor was in the room while he and his ex was in the room and they were talking about important information. Or he and his ex could be discussing important information about their child. If he cares about you like you think he does then you have nothing to worry about. He will probably always be in contact with his ex because of the fact that they have a child together.

Lacrosse season is starting sooon, so i think that i should start running. I don't have a treadmill at home, and i feel so awkward jogging outside. Ive done this many times, it depends on where you're riding, how much you trust your horse, and how much control you want. If your horse neck reins, you can just clip it to the tie ring and if you wanna turn one way, neck rein, if you wanna turn the other way, just pull it that way. If you need direct rein, tie it to the side rings, and depending on the length of your lead rope, and how long you want your reins to be, you might need two seperate lead ropes.

How does visitation work if the father lives in another state?
Ok so I live in Pa and he lives in CA. How is visitation going to work? Do I have to let my infant child be away from me for weeks on end? Does he have to come here? My husbands ex girlfriend /mother of his other children and his family seem to think that whenever there is something wrong with his ex, he should come running. For example someone stole the radio out of her car and she told his family she knew who it was. We broke up a week before I found out that I was pregnant. I had stopped taking my Bc a few months prior so he was more angry about that. Usually they send the list of names of your child's fellow classmates but this school for some reason didn't. My child is in pre-school, it's a small class but only talked about two other kids. Should i clip my horse and/or how?
I have had my horse for almost half a year now and I am just recently now starting him through training. He rides in an indoor arena and is kept stalled daily. The trainer works him pretty hard for an hour or two about 4-5 days a week. I personally ride him or lunge him for an hour or so the days the trainer does not work him. He takes about 30 minutes to cool off using a cooler after workouts and he is blanketed the rest of the time. I have left his coat alone so far but with his workouts becoming harder and longer I am debating whether to clip him or not. He does get fairly sweaty and since there is no cover on his winter blankets, his neck is furrier and does get more sweaty. His muzzle and his bridle path have been left unclipped. He just got shoes so he does not go outside anymore with the other horses. I will be starting him in shows within a month or two. Should I clip him or not and/or how should I clip him? If not, how should I help make sure he is warm and comfortable and also cool after his workouts?

We kept alcohol gel on the changing table, you get it on you, baby wipe it off them gel to clean. I don't think it's outrageous to worry about getting butt germs on a little baby since they suck their clothes and all - having said that, by the time they're a year old and you walk in to their room and find them standing naked at 6am covered in poop with their diaper off and a nice new painting on your pretty Beatrix Potter wall paper, you'll wonder why you ever cared.

She even ashamed me infront of my guests many times, she said that my baby hair will fall eye color will change when she was just born, and none of that happened...Now after few fights with my husband I barely see her once a month but even that visit she spreads poison in her innuendo way and by appearing kind...She makes me understand her mean thaughts in an inderctive way and me all the time I feel speachless and angry cause whenver I answer she says Oh you are getting it that way or even she seems cool and uneffected and don't even listen to what I have to say...Her daughter now is 46 year old and she compares the childhood of her daughter with mine that it's still 6 months old...She never says a good word, when I cook delicious foods and invite her she never says it's tasty she just brags about her daughter and her grandchild (the daughter of her daughter) that's 12 years old she always comapres her with me imagine me 29 years old, that's annoying and stupid, I should ignore her but I can't I'm starting to hate her :( when I breastfeed my child instead of saying bravo she says wait that's nothing the other wife got more milk and gave her baby till 1 year and half (PS I am still breastfeeding) and she never did to any of her childs, the other day I was saying to my baby say mama and she heard it and said don't bother the first word should be daddy not mom ofcourse...and I always take good care of my husband and invite her to please him just because I love him he is on my side but he tells me to consider her as a big baby or a weak person and to ignore everything beacause she dosen't mean any of her sayings and has lack of mental abilities...(But I think she's smart and evil) + She somehow effects him over her old thaughts and beleifs...Again I'm starting to hate her:( what shoud I do...There's Much more but if I write it all I will write a book...

My stomach is shaped like a childs.?

Im a girl. Im 19 and a half but i dont want any gross sex movies so dont suggest those. Uh, i just got my first dvd player (we're not tech savvy) and my dad gave it to my mom and i. I'd want both. I'm already pretty dang good at riding problem horses (if I do say so myself ;)) so honestly I'd rather own the perfect one. But I catch ride a lot and I'd definitely want to keep catch riding naughty horses to stay sharp. And when I go to the barn and don't ride, I help the little kids tack up and groom. That's my favorite thing because of the way they look up to me. It just makes me happy. I also like pulling out this one pony and putting him in the ring and playing with him. He'll chase me around and play tag with me.

Why are teen moms judged so harshly?
Why do people assume that just because someone is a young mother, they aren't capable of being a good one. I know some teens aren't close to being ready, but some can be really good moms. And just because it happened when we were younger doesn't mean we dont deserve support and deserve criticism. It really bugs me and makes me ashamed to be pregnant and tell people. I dont want people having thst opinion of me, I've always been known as the good girl over achiever, and yeah I hated being labed as thst, but its better then being labled as a slut, who Is ruining her life and a childs. I know I made a mistake and should have been smarter, but I'm not ruining anyones life. Babies are gifts, they dont ruin lives, yeah it will be harder but, my life is not ruined.

I am going to these parks in Orlando in two weeks. I'm 5'5 and a size 28. I have particular interest in the Magical World of Harry Potter section, but am interested to know about other rides as well. I've read mixed reports that there are modified seats on the rides now, has anyone had any recent experience at these parks? I've never had an issue at Disney before, but did have a bad experience at Six Flags New Orleans when it was still around. I appreciate your response!

So I know this is going to sound bad but please hear me out before you start judging. My situation is very complicated I'm not a whore or sleep around but I dont know who the father of my child is... me and my ex broke up like Sept 12 (just a guess) then sept 19 I hooked up with a guy who I've known for about 6 months before that. So they are a week apart and a paternity test is to much money so I have to wait until the baby is born. I'm about 23 weeks now but I don't know if I want either of them to be there at all... My ex and me where together for a year or so but we argued all the time and the other guy I barely know and don't want it to be his (which I know I cant control) because we barely know each other and he thinks because we are having a kid we HAVE to be together which I don't believe to me we are just two people having a kid together but he tries to control the whole situation and it bothers me. Is it bad if I would rather do this alone then with either of them? I know the other guy will be there unlike my ex but I'm worried the whole time he is going to say we NEED to be together and I know to some people its not a big deal but it is to me. I don't like being pressured and the more he tries to control the situation and say we need to be a family it just stresses me out and I've told him this and he doesn't understand. Everyone says its just my hormones but I mean it somewhat is but not completely. Am I in the wrong to want to do this by myself?

I have a huge tax situation problem Involving my child?
I wil start by saying My husband and I are separated have been for six months but not legally we have been married for two years and we have a 1 yr old daughter...Every since my child has came into the world my mom has been in control of my childs life which i absolutely HATE!! I'm 22 and so is my husband we are responsible parents we take care of our child the best way we can despite us not being together...my mom helps me alot with my child since she has been born and so does my husband however my mom does aloot more ..I am currently unemployed I take care of my daughter and watch her because daycare is not available to me right now until the courtdate of my husband and I comes around for child support (he doesnt make enough to support our child and pay for daycare ...he gets her every weekend to spend time with her since we are no longer in the same house hold...anyway My mom is upset because I am allowing my husband to claim her on his taxes along with myself this year...In which I will get half of what he gets....I am trying to better myself and put the money towards education for myself so that I myself can be an independent mother and provide for my child ...but she sees this as Me allowing him to claim her and she does more for my child than he does ....I feel a lil torn...but at the same time I feel I have to do this for myself and my future ...I have no help for school or education otherwise.I need your oppinions please help!

My childs class teacher is being really awful to my child?
My daughter is 10 years old and always tried really hard at school. We have never had a complaint about her behaviour. We requested the school screen her for dyslexia when she was 7 and she came out as being high risk. The school did nothing to support her - we have been in and spoken to the deputy head and SENco about our concerns, but to no avail. The school will not provide any support or send her for the full assessment - even though they acknowledge that she has problems. She was re-screened recently and again came out as high risk. Her teacher calls her lazy and tells her that her handwriting isnt neat enough to write with a pen so she is made to write with a pencil - even though none of the other kids do. Please advise as I keep going to the school and they keep fobbing me off. It breaks my heart to see my happy, confident daughter having her self esteem bashed. Thank you for any advice or suggestions.
Im 18 and my mom won't let me spend the night at my Boyfriends house?
so im 18 in 4 months i will be 19 years old and me and my boyfriend have been dating since i was about 15. Hi, I was just notified that my 17 year old child enrolled in a trade school. I was never informed or involved of the situation. Unfortunetly, we have a very distant relationship and do not communicate. I have adamantly paid my all of my child support and my child turns 18 next month (March). My child support ends in June. My childs mother is demanding me to pay for his school and is threating me with legal action, but I was never involved or informed of the situation until everything was past tense. Parents of children seperated/divorced/not together?
Apart from courts/custody/legal/shared etc parenting duties. When a couple breaks up/seperates etc the parents not married have no legal court stuff for custody Etc. But say the child lives with the mommy but the dad hardly ever calls/picks up the child. Say once every 6 months to a year etc Then all of a sudden the "dad" gets married, has.a job and demands custody shared after 5 years of never being around the Childs life at all? What would happen? Could the mom fight and win? Or would it automatically get worked out as joint? Just a querstion I know ur not lawyers but some may have shared experiences?

I have known of children who didn't have lunch money with them and they went through the lunch line at school they are in elementary and the Dietary supervisor has been known to come to the table and take the childs food away from them and yells at kids and says " you don't have any money in your account and proceeds to yell more saying "make your mom and dad pay" This is VERY wrong children have enough to deal with. Bullying from other students is not the only issue they have they are bullied by teacher and staff and made to look bad in front of their peers by put them down there isn't any wonder children's depression and suicide rate has gone up a lot of times yes its over home-life but alot of it is from school. I am attaching an article in my towns newspaper read it and tell me if she is going WAY to far. She says "we want to make the food so bad and so boring that the kids will pay"Since when do children in k-5 have jobs??? Its not their fault!!!! Well, no way to really tell. I don't think it's the baby you lost. I had a spirit come to me, a small child. I get them a lot. For some reason, I tend to attract lost children.
